Observation | Bill Gates and Clean India

October 2, 2019 is a very important day for the government of India. It is the birth of MahatmaGandhi 150th anniversary as well as the end of Clean India's proposed deadline. Clean India is a huge program aimed at installing 75 million toilets across India. Today, 1 million 700 thousand people die each year from unsafe water and sanitation, including 600 thousand indians. Billionaire,

Over the past few years, the Gates foundation has provided millions of dollars in aid and donations to the government of India and the Private Companies. Some aid is being used to develop high-tech toilets which must be applied in low-income countries. In 2012, the Gates foundation held a grand prix, mainly designed for safe, cheap and sustainable use of revolutionary toilets. The four award-winning designs received $3 million 400 thousand in funding to help change health conditions in poor areas.

Bill Gate recently made a VR short film about the great project during his recent visit to India. He said in his blog that it's not enough just to build the toilet for people, and you have to convince them to use the toilet. This is the second key work of "Clean India" after building the toilets. At some point, it is way too harder than building the toilets because people are not willing to change old habits.
